SRF gets people excited in Balaka

People from TA Amidu in Balaka have expressed their excitement for having a Sanitation Revolving Fund (SRF) facility in their area following the launch of the initiative by A Self Help Initiative Programme (ASAP) who are working in association with Design Management Consultants (DMC).

ASAP and DMC are a new partner to the GSF Programme in Malawi responsible for piloting the Sanitation Business Model (SMB) in six selected Traditional Authorities (TAs), one from each ASHPP district.

We are ready! Chiefs vow to achieve district ODF.

Senior Chiefs and Traditional Authorities from all the six GSF districts in Malawi have unanimously pledged to support the Accelerated Sanitation and Hygiene Practices Programme (ASHPP) in its bodacious bid to achieve district-wide ODF in at least 3 districts by June 2017.

ASHPP ready for Pillar II rollout

Six months gone, twelve to go. The 18-month cost-extension for the GSF-Funded Accelerated Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion Programme (ASHPP) in Malawi has taken a definite shape, now that partners have vetted, perfected and endorsed the Sanitation Business Model.

This has happened courtesy of an orientation workshop on the Model which took place in Blantyre at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel from 1st to 3rd June 2016. Forty-five people from the Executing Agency (EA), District Coordinating Teams (DCTs) and Sub-grantees (SGs) attended.
